A little bit about me…

Emma Gordon London is a one-woman show set up by me, Emma Gordon. I work in my little studio hand-making every order from start to finish. I should think about getting some outside help in as I do work very long hours – but then it just wouldn’t be the same…

I am proud of the personal service I am able offer, and I try to make shopping with me that that bit more special. Here’s how I got started:

I was tired of only being able to buy mass-produced goods in the shops that were being worn by thousands of other people too, so I decided to do something about it! I began by setting up a small stall selling my handbags at Spitalfields Fashion Market in London’s East End. They were soon noticed and I was approached by several boutiques that wanted to stock my bags.  The rest, as they say, is history.

‘Emma Gordon London’ can now be found in boutiques and online shops around the world.

In the past year or so, I have developed a new side to the business making custom orders for Brides and Bridesmaids and have created many clutches in colours to match wedding colour-schemes and dresses.  It’s such a lovely thought to think that all of those brides chose my bags to be a part of their special day.

My signature style is ‘ladylike with a twist’ using pretty colours, quirky detailing and delicate trims. As every bag is handmade, this achieves the unique ‘one off’ style that has so far proved very popular with my customers.

I take my inspiration from everything elegant and fun, from the light-hearted glamour of Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffanys’ to the gorgeous pin-up girls of the 1950’s.
